AGPS (Rules for School Transport)
1. Bus facility once opted should be continued throughout the year.
2. All students using the school bus are expected to be at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before the arrival of the bus. They should be on the left side towards bus door.
3. Transport facility will not be provided for extra classes.
4. Transport is a facility and does not entail any right to students, if the bus is late, does not reach, breaks down, has been send on Army duty etc. The parents will make their own arrangement of dropping and picking the students.
5. The bus will not wait for late comers.
6. Students should not attempt boarding the bus & getting down, unless bus stops completely.
7. The bus will stop only on the designated stops.
8. Students should maintain discipline in the bus. Eating inside the bus is not allowed.
9. Courteous behaviour is expected inside the bus. Shrieking and shouting in bus is strictly prohibited.
10. Driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason.
11. Transport charges are to be paid for the whole session.
12. Transport charges are subject to revision during hike in fuel charges, or otherwise.
13. Change of bus is allowed by the incharge/ Principal on written request from the parent only.
14. If a bus user chooses to come to school on his own, she/he must immediately inform, transport incharge or bus conductor or class teacher.
15. The school is not responsible for any item left in school bus. The student is expected to keep all her/his belongings with her/him.
16. All willful damage caused to the school bus by a student will be charged from the student responsible or from their parent.
17. The Bus Teacher incharge will assign a seat to each student at the start of the session. All seats are to be shared.
18. Students will be picked up and dropped off only at their scheduled stop. They will not be allowed to get on the bus, nor off the bus at any alternate location without prior formal arrangements with school Transport incharge.
19. Any changes to addresses must be reported to Principal.
Note: The driver does not have authority to change the bus route, nor can the driver change any of the bus stops without prior approval from the Principal.
20. Please ensure that your child is dressed in School Uniform.
21. If your child misses the arranged transport in the morning you must make your own arrangements to get them to school.
22. Students may get suspended from bus service for 1 to 15 days if he/she doesn’t comply with safety regulation and AGPS Transport Rules. The parents are responsible for transporting their child during suspension.
23. If student’s behaviour on the bus is deemed unacceptable and is bothering other child. Student should report discipline problems and bullying to the school Principal who will take steps to stop such misconduct.
24. Parents are not allowed to enter the bus under any circumstances.
25. The school bus is an extension of the school. Students are expected to behave on the bus the same as they would in their classroom. They must obey their driver promptly and respectfully.
26. If due to certain exigencies, a student has to leave the school campus during school hours, the following rule will be observed.
i) A written request must be submitted by the parents.
ii) The school leaving register must be signed.
iii) A permission slip must be obtained and shown at the school gate before leaving the campus.
27. Under no circumstances students are allowed to go behind or under the buses parked in the school campus during school hours.
28. Under no circumstances should students touch the instrument panel of the buses.
29. Students are issued bus identity cards and should be worn by the students boarding the bus and should be worn at all the times till the completion of the return journey.
30. Students shall not write upon, disfigure, or destroy any part of the school bus.
31. Students shall not throw or shoot articles within the bus or out the bus window, and shall not extend any part of their body, clothing or other articles out of the bus window
32. The school transport service is an obligation not compulsion. The school management reserves the right to discontinue the same at will.
33. The school can change pick up /drop off location at any time (with prior notification) as per bus routing requirements to serve the interests of the majority.
