  • ALUMNI MEET 2019

    ALUMNI MEET 20191. Army Goodwill Public School Rajouri conducted ‘2nd Alumni Meet’ on 21 Dec 2019 which was attended by more than 600 Students, Alumni, Parents and School staff. There were a large number of Stalls put up by the Staff and Management for the students with verity of Games, Food and Entertainment at school play ground.

    2. Major General Pratik Sharma, SM, GOC 25 Infantry Division and Patron, Army Goodwill Public School graced the occasion with his presence. To make the event more interesting and successful, the students also presented a fun filled cultural show for the audience.

    3. The interaction between the old Students was focused on the Exchange of Ideas to guide the students for their future career. The event culminated by felicitating the Alumni and whishing them a bright future ahead....

  • CULTURAL MORNING

    CULTURAL MORNING 1. AGPS, Rajouri has been a frontrunner in academics, sports and cultural fields. The students are exposed to diverse activities for overall personality development. Taking a step forward, a cultural morning was organised by AGPS, Rajouri on 19 July 19. Miss Varenya Hariharan, an accomplished Bharatnatyam dancer from USA performed for the students of AGPS, Rajouri and SBS Degree College, Rajouri.

    2. Miss Varenya is an NRI who was born and brought up in USA. Against all odds, she pursued her dream of learning Bharatnatyam in USA. With her dedication and commitment, she not only achieved expertise in Bharatnatyam but also in tap dance, Ballet, Bhangra and other contemporary dance forms. She is also a recipient of Fulbright Scholarship which is granted to only 50 students in USA. She is a Spanish language teacher under Teach for America program in three primary school and two secondary schools in Mexico.

    3. The event was attended by Patron, AGPS as Chief Guest, Chairman, AGPS, Mr Haqeeqat Singh Isher, SBS Degree College and a large number of students of AGPS and SBS Degree College. In a mesmerising performance, Miss Varenya performed Tishra Alaripu, Matangi Kavuthuvam, Thodaya Mangalam and Natanam Aadinar which was well received and praised by all.

    4. She also interacted with students of AGPS on 18 Jul 19 and shared her experiences as student in USA and a teacher now in Cleaveland Public School in USA. She motivated the students to face the challenges of life with determination and dedicate themselves towards achieving their aim in life. The interaction and cultural event will go a long way in inspiring the students to do well in life and respect the culture and traditions of India.

    First Alumni Meet 2018FIRST ALUMNI MEET CUM INNOVATION MELA AT AGPS, RAJOURI

    Army Goodwill Public School, Rajouri organized its ‘First Ever Alumni Meet and Innovation Mela’ on 22 Dec 18. Many defence and civilian dignitaries including GOC, 25 Infantry Division, Commander, 25 Artillery Brigade, Mr Yugal Manhas, SSP, Rajouri, Dr Arvind Ishar, Sr Scientist KVK, 100 Alumni of AGPS, Rajouri, Principal and Students from various schools in and around Rajouri attended the same.
    The main aim of conducting alumni meet was to showcase the efforts army has taken to make AGPS, Rajouri as one the best education hub in the region, share best practices to run the academic classes in the best possible manner to achieve the best results and to showcase the achievements of the school as a result of Sadbhavana project undertaken by the army towards the development of areas South of Pir Panjal.
    Besides this, the ‘Innovation Mela’ was aimed towards promoting innovative techniques of teaching and learning. In this mela the innovative kits collected by teachers who attended four days workshop at Agastya Foundation, Bengaluru showcased various innovative models which were highly appreciated by students of different schools. Inauguration of Natural Ecosystem was also a centre of attraction as it showed the interrelation between Water Harvesting, Drip Irrigation, Organic Farming and Composting pit projects recently started. These initiatives taken by Indian Army is a big and historical step towards sparking curiosity, nurturing creativity and building confidence among local populace and lively example of WHAM....
