ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Army Goodwill Public School, Rajouri

Army Goodwill Public School, Rajouri follows a transparent, merit-based and vacancy-based admission procedure. Online registration for the Payment Category remains available on the school website from 01 January to 15 February every year. Applications for the Sadbhavana Category are submitted offline at the designated venues as notified by the school / concerned authority.

Separate entrance tests are conducted for the Payment Category and the Sadbhavana Category. Admission in both categories is subject to availability of vacancies, eligibility criteria, entrance test performance, document verification and approval of the competent authority.

Important: Admission in Classes X and XII, wherever applicable, shall be considered strictly as per CBSE Direct Admission Guidelines and shall remain subject to approval from CBSE.

STEP-BY-STEP ADMISSION PROCESS

Step 1: Admission Notification
The school notifies the admission schedule, available classes, category-wise procedure, eligibility conditions and important dates through the school website / school office notice.
Step 2: Application / Registration
Payment Category registration is completed online from 01 January to 15 February. Sadbhavana Category applications are submitted offline at the designated venues.
Step 3: Vacancy & Eligibility Check
Applications are considered only against available vacancies. Age, previous class record, category details, stream preference and transfer status are checked wherever applicable.
Step 4: Entrance Test
Separate entrance tests are conducted for Payment and Sadbhavana categories. Appearing in the entrance test does not guarantee admission.
Step 5: Selection / Merit List
Selection is based on category-wise vacancies, eligibility, entrance test performance, previous academic record and approval of the Admission Board.
Step 6: Waiting List
If seats are limited, eligible candidates may be placed on a waiting list. Admission from the waiting list depends strictly on vacancy and school approval.
Step 7: Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates must submit original documents and copies as per the admission checklist. Incorrect or incomplete documents may lead to cancellation.
Step 8: Fee Payment
Parents must deposit the prescribed fee within the notified schedule. Failure to deposit the fee may lead to cancellation of the offered seat.
Step 9: Admission Number & ERP Entry
After completion of formalities, student details are entered in the school records / ERP and an admission number is generated.
Step 10: Final Confirmation
Admission is finally confirmed only after completion of all formalities and approval of the competent authority of the school.

Classes X & XII Direct admission case, if any, as per CBSE norms. Strictly as per CBSE Direct Admission Guidelines and subject to approval from CBSE.

ADDITIONAL PROCEDURAL CHECKS

1 Transfer Certificate Verification Students coming from another school must submit a valid Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate before admission is confirmed.
2 Class Placement The candidate shall be considered only for the class for which he/she is academically eligible as per previous school record and school norms.
3 Senior Secondary Stream For Class XI, admission depends upon eligibility, previous performance, subject combination and availability of seats. Class XII admission, wherever applicable, shall be as per CBSE Direct Admission Guidelines and subject to CBSE approval.
4 Medical & Special Needs Declaration Parents must declare any medical condition, allergy, learning need, disability or special support requirement at the time of admission.
5 Hostel / Transport Allocation Hostel and transport facilities are allotted separately and are subject to availability, route feasibility, capacity and approval.
Note: Submission of application form or appearance in the entrance test does not guarantee admission. Admission will be treated as confirmed only after completion of all required formalities and approval of the competent authority.
